Techniques : UV ink , frescoes

Various things drifted from the ocean and ended up on the beach.

The facts are still there even if people try to forget these.

Chemical substances used by humans, radiation contaminants,

and artificial objects have already dissolved in the air.

Once they are captured in the photo, they cannot be erased by image editing.

Using wooden boards with natural damages, creating artificial irregularities deliberately

by burnt charcoal and scraped marks.

The photos are printed upon plaster which has been mixed with the sands of the beaches

and spread across the planks of wood. It shows a moment of the truth three-dimensionally.

Human beings are also a part of the nature, living there together.

[ OCEAN ] is expressing how people are failing, repairing, struggling,

and still coexisting with the nature.

Each picture is named after the beach where the shooting was actually done.

海岸には様々な漂着物

過去を忘れたくても事実は無くならないままそこにあり

化学物質や放射能、様々な人工物は空気中にすでに溶け込んで

画像編集では消し去ることはできない。

自然な損傷をそのまま生かした無垢版を

焦がした炭や削り取った痕で人工的な凹凸を作り出している。

その上に塗られた漆喰にはそれぞれの砂浜が練り込まれており

真実を捉えた一瞬を立体的にに映し出している

人間も、自然という大きなくくりの中の一部であり

そこに息づくものである。

失敗し、修復し、もがきながら自然と共存している人間を

表現したこの作品には

それぞれ撮影が実際に行われた土地の名前が付けられている。
